Macro Monday: Best of 2009

Written by Jackie D'Elia  |  Published on December 28, 2009

As 2009 comes to a close, I had a chance to look back at some of my favorite macro shots of 2009. I’ve only included just a few, and hope you’ll explore some of the other Macro Monday shots in the archives. Hope you enjoy these and let me know which one you like best.

Visit Macro Monday to view some very interesting close ups and if you have some macro shots to share, join in the fun. Macro Monday features closeup shots in the garden from fellow bloggers and are listed on Lisa’s Chaos.

All stunning photos, but I really like the frog and the leaf closeups. The beetle sort of looks like some armored soldier from Lord of the Rings! Wishing you a Happy New Year from Happy Acres!

They are all splendid but that bumble bee one is my favorite. Have a great New Year Jackie.

I was going to say the frog, but then I scrolled down and I have to say that the little black shield bug (stinkbug?) on the pink stamen is my favourite!

    They are all beautiful.
I raised butterflies this year, so I especially enjoyed the one with the proboscis. But your others are must amazing as well.

That is one thing that thrilled me as I learn to take better pictures. There is so much in this world we just walk by, without seeing, that if we peer thru the lens of a camera, the world stands still for a moment and we can truly enjoy the beauty.

    Happy New Year!

I love these shots wished my camera could do these – my favourite is the second one with the drunk wasp

    Hi Jackie.
Wow, you have some really great macro shots!
Loved the bee in the tropical water lily…the stink bug…the smiling dragon and the leaf.
Hope you had a great Christmas, and here’s wishing you a happy New Year from us all in the Patch.

Nice series of images – I like your dragonfly (love dragonflies) and your leave photographs the best. Here’s to more good macro photography in 2010!

Wow Jackie these are sensational. I love all of them. Especially the butterfly if I had to choose just one. No, wait, the frog. Or the bee… Yes, the dragonfly!
