Bloom Day: December 2009

Written by Jackie D'Elia  |  Published on December 15, 2009

With the unseasonably cold and wet weather this month, it is hard to find anything blooming in my garden. I’ve had to go back to photos taken earlier this month to share.

Your photos are beautiful, but I bet that many a Houstoner (Houstonite?) was caught off guard by such early and such cold weather. Happy GBBD!

’tis the season to be frosty… it’s been freezing on and off here in b/cs too. certainly is pretty on the flower buds – hope you didn’t lose too many.

    Hi Jackie,
Your buds and blooms are so pretty, even with ice and snow on them. Seeing the tomato bud reminds me of how our plants want to just keep growing, but the weather stops them sometimes.

The ice-edged flowers look so special, but I like your tree frog best of all.
