One of many on this parsley plant is this beautiful Black Swallowtail caterpillar. I’ve counted about 8 of them in various sizes munching away on last year’s Italian parsley plant that is going to seed. The black swallowtail butterflies are mostly black with yellow, white, blue and red spots near the base of their wings. You can learn more about them at Butterflies and Moths

I saw your story from 2009. I wanted to know if you saw my reply. your story gave me the chills. I was wondering if you still had Kohl. I tell all my friends and family about you. July 30th was a sad day for me. My Maggie would of been 11. I still cry every day. I miss her so much. I don’t think I will ever get over it.

He has some health problems and I am preparing myself. Labs of his size live about 12 years, so time is precious. As for now, he is happy and eating well. We go for walks every evening and spend a lot of time together.
I dearly loved Maggie, and am grateful she had Kohl. He has been a true gift.
